Aptive Resources has partnered with New York-based automation technology maker Hyperscience to provide integrated machine learning- and artificial intelligence-based document processing tools to key federal customers.

Under the partnership, Aptive will perform data extraction services to help public sector entities automate the processing of unstructured data from resources such as tax documents and claims forms, Aptive said Thursday.

Aptive has prior experience using Hyperscience’s Intelligent Document Processing tool to extract information from various types of documents including low-resolution images and forms with handwritten data.

Hyperscience’s tool has an accuracy rate of over 99 percent, according to Aptive.

Patrick Sullivan, vice president of technology services and digital innovation at Aptive, noted that the company’s partnership with Hyperscience adds the latter's automated document processing technology to the Aptive analytics and automation toolbox.

Brendan MacCarthy, area VP of federal sales at Hyperscience, said the company has been working with Aptive to automate manual data processes at a medical services agency over the past months.

Hyperscience’s automation portfolio is focused on simplifying data-heavy organizational procedures for clients in sectors such as insurance and health care, government and financial services.
