ScienceLogic, a provider of artificial intelligence-based information technology platforms, has secured $105 million during a Series E funding round to help accelerate growth efforts in the “AI for IT” operations market.

The Silver Lake Waterman-led funding round is meant to support the development of cloud-native products encompassing technical areas such as microservices, AI, machine learning and hybrid cloud, ScienceLogic said Tuesday

The Reston, Virginia-based company also plans to use the investment to support workforce expansion plans and drive sales of the SL1 platform for monitoring digital environments.

Dave Link, founder and CEO of ScienceLogic, said the funding will also support the enterprise-level transition away from legacy monitoring technologies and into AIOps concepts.

Existing ScienceLogic investors such as Goldman Sachs, NewView Capital and Intel’s venture capital arm participated in the funding round.
