Engineering Sector Vet Al Weggeman to Join Training System Provider InVeris as CEO

Al Weggeman, a professional with over two decades of engineering and manufacturing sector experience, has been appointed CEO of weapons training technology maker InVeris Training Solutions.

The Pine Island Capital Partners portfolio company said Tuesday that Weggeman most recently served as president of chemical detection technology manufacturer Block Engineering and he will officially assume his new role on April 5.

He also served as president of the former L3 Technologies’ security and detection systems division where he oversaw the global delivery of the company’s detection tools to clients in the aviation, critical infrastructure, government and transportation sectors.

Weggeman also previously held executive roles at General Electric, Safariland and Key Components.

InVeris is headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia, and offers training systems for virtual and live-fire weapons to support military and law enforcement applications.
