Red Hat has recognized ManTech for using the former's open-source products in creating a cyber training system for the U.S. Army.

ManTech said Monday it received a Red Hat Partner award for developing the Army's Persistent Cyber Training Environment with the help of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

PCTE, equipped with Red Hat technology, enables training providers to build a cyber simulation platform with commercially available products.

“ManTech and Red Hat have worked together as partners since 2009, and this award underscores the importance of our strategic relationship and the value it delivers to our customers,” said Srini Iyer, chief technology officer and leader of the innovation and capabilities office at ManTech.

The training environment also allows applications to interoperate and display in the same language, allowing users to control communications between products from different vendors.
