The U.S. Space Force considers using the commercial solutions opening method to speed up the procurement of management consulting services, Bloomberg Government reported Wednesday.

CSO is authorized under the fiscal year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act for use in acquiring innovative commercial technologies and services and intends to advance partnerships between tech startups and defense agencies. The Department of Defense’s contract obligations via CSO reached $71.6 million in fiscal year 2020.

The Space Force is seeking industry sources of enterprise change management and organizational transformation support services to aid its transition into a more agile organization, according to a sources sought notice posted Friday.

The scope of work includes design and implementation of change management projects, deployment of any commercial software and training support for the service branch’s staff.

Interested stakeholders have until May 19 to submit a 25-page capabilities statement, according to the notice.
