Air Force Sustainment Center Seeks Input on Industrial IoT Operational Technology - top government contractors - best government contracting event
U.S. Air Force

The Air Force Sustainment Center needs an industrial internet of things platform that would help Robins, Tinker and Hill Air Force Bases handle operational technology and digitally transform maintenance work.

The center seeks market information on government and commercial off-the-shelf applications that would help the U.S. Air Force bases monitor, manage and analyze IIoT operational technology, AFSC said Friday in a SAM.gov notice.

AFSC wants to digitally augment its aircraft maintenance operations, such as avionics repair, commodity manufacturing and landing gear overhaul, according to the request for information.

The need to digitize the operations stems from a competitive industrial sector and adversaries’ increased adoption of automated technologies.

The Air Force envisions IIoT to serve as a key technology that would enable the needed digital transformation.

Interested parties may submit requested input until July 23.
