Six companies have secured a position on a potential $99 million firm-fixed-price contract for repair, alteration, new construction and demolition services in support of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps shore facilities.

Work will cover various facilities within the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Washington’s area of operations, which includes Virginia and Maryland, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Contractors JCMCS, RH Contracting, Signature Renovations, Honu’Apo, Battle Creek Construction and ACTS-Meltech JV1 will compete for individual task orders under the Navy contract and conduct work within the NAVFAC Washington AO during an initial one-year period.

Installation of plumbing, heating, air-condition, mechanical, electrical and building equipment may also be part of the contract work.

Upcoming task orders will be funded using the Navy’s operation and maintenance, working capital and military construction money. The Marine Corps will also allocate a part of its operation and maintenance budget for the effort.

The multiple-award contract has a base value of $19.8 million.
