Arctos has secured a spot on a potential eight-year, $44 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide third-party logistics services for helicopters handled by the U.S. Army’s Multi-National Aviation Special Project Office.

The company said it will deliver rotary-wing aircraft equipment, supplies and support services to MASPO and the Army’s aviation program executive office.

In support of allies in Uganda and Kenya, the Army contract’s first pair of orders provide for Huey II aircraft parts.

Arctos will perform program management activities from an office and distribution center in Tampa, Florida.

The effort follows Arctos’ more than a decade of experience in supporting MASPO programs for allies in Afghanistan.

Joe Sciabica, chief technology officer at Arctos, said the MASPO 3PL program award aligns with the company’s efforts to expand its non-standard aircraft portfolio and mission support services as well as to increase presence in Africa.
