Novetta, an advanced analytics company owned by Accenture‘s federal services business, will commercialize the products from U.S. Air Force’s software development program, Platform One, as part of a two-year agreement.

The deal is expected to expand Platform One’s exposure across federal government and industry partners by enabling Novetta to resell and support the platform’s Iron Bank and Big Bang products, Accenture Federal Services said Thursday.

Tiffanny Gates, senior managing director of national security portfolio at AFS and former president and CEO of Novetta, welcomed the opportunity for the company to be part of the new software delivery initiative.

“Through the commercialization of Platform One, clients across the federal government, as well as industry partners, will realize immediate value with increased speed-to-mission and mission assurance,” she added.

Big Bang, an infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code program, and Iron Bank, a container registry, will be tailored and marketed to government clients and commercial software retailers. Novetta is expected to carry the resell efforts with its partners Fearless and Spathe Systems.

Justin Shirk, AFS’ managing director of national security portfolio and former Novetta vice president, commented, “This agreement also helps independent software vendors outsource container development, hardening, and maintenance services for Iron Bank, thus standardizing and accelerating image development and use.”

In regard to Big Bang, Shirk said the program’s commercialization could result in the creation of a trusted network of system integrators.

Accenture Federal Services acquired Novetta from investment firm The Carlyle Group in June 2021.

Since then, Novetta has continued its collaboration with the Air Force in helping the service branch monitor base security and boost decision making by constructing an integrated base defense technology.
