NASA Opens Solicitation for Earth Science R&D Contract Recompete - top government contractors - best government contracting event

NASA has kicked off a competitive solicitation for the recompete of its five-year contract covering research and development work in Earth and space science program areas at Goddard Space Flight Center.

A request for proposals notice posted Friday on SAM.gov says the Space and Earth Science Data Analysis V iteration has an indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery structure and is reserved for small businesses.

The agency selected Adnet Systems, a Maryland-based small business, for the $242 million SESDA IV contract in August 2017. Adnet’s teaming partners on the current program are Hexagon U.S. Federal, KBR, Innovim and Telophase.

NASA is recompeting the contract to develop technologies for use in instrumentation, computer system management and software development activities that support scientific research work.

A potential vendor will work with the agency in various disciplines including oceanography, land processes, solid earth geographics, geodynamics, climatology, astrophysics, astronomy and planetary studies.

Interested parties can submit proposals through Feb. 21. 

The agency expects to award the contract by July 25, with an effectivity date of Oct. 1.
