CGI has received a five-year, $133.9 million task order from the Department of Justice to administer and facilitate processes to aid its Unified Financial Management System and Unified Asset Management System.

The initial task order was awarded under a maximum $250 million blanket purchase agreement and will involve CGI enabling robotic process automation, testing automation and cloud migration of DOJ data, the company said Tuesday.

Stephanie Mango, president of CGI Federal and a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient, said the information technology and consulting company’s over 20 years of work in digital transformation has empowered its partnership with the DOJ.

“UFMS successful systems consolidation and standardization, integrated with UAMS, position DOJ for continued efficiencies tailored to unique DOJ needs,” Mango added.

With CGI’s help, the DOJ hopes to render its UFMS and UMAS programs more efficient in streamlining certain departmental procedures.

Under the contract, the DOJ intends to use CGI programs Momentum and Sunflower capabilities to strengthen efforts surrounding asset management, resource allocation and procurements, while also imposing appropriate security measures.

The initial BPA from the DOJ to CGI was announced in January.

In October 2021, CGI landed a $100 million task order from the Defense Intelligence Agency that calls for an update to DIA’s data processing technology environment. The award similarly involved CGI’s modernization and digital transformation efforts for existing programs.
