Lloyd Dean, CEO of CommonSpirit Health, has been named to the board of directors of Guidehouse, where he will share his expertise in health care in support of delivering consulting services to customers.

Dean has notably backed efforts to expand health care access in the U.S., including the passage of the country’s Affordable Care Act, Guidehouse said Wednesday.

He has also contributed to various advisory panels of federal and state governments, as well as California’s Task Force on Business and Jobs Recovery, which supports the state’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic’s economic effects.

Dean formerly served as president and CEO of Dignity Health, which he helped expand into CommonSpirit Health.

The health care-focused nonprofit supports Dean’s vision to establish a system that harnesses modern technology and partnerships to reshape the industry.

“His insights will be instrumental as we continue to help our clients with their most pressing challenges in health care and beyond,” Guidehouse CEO and six-time Wash100 awardee Scott McIntyre said about Dean.

Guidehouse offers health care management consulting services to agencies, hospitals and life sciences companies pursuing operational transformation.
