Michael Cavanagh, chief financial officer of Comcast, and Raquel Bono, chief health officer of cruise line Viking, have joined the board of directors of health care software company HealthVerity.

Andrew Kress, CEO of HealthVerity, said in a statement published Thursday the two new directors will help enhance the company’s health-related offerings to pharmaceutical, manufacturer insurance and government clients.

Cavanagh is a financial services industry executive with over two decades of experience. He currently oversees finance, corporate development, strategic planning and administration duties at Comcast.

Meanwhile, Bono, a trauma surgeon and retired U.S. Navy Medical Corps vice admiral, previously led the Defense Health Agency as director and CEO and was responsible for integrating a $50 billion health care enterprise for the U.S. military.

She was a three-time Wash100 Award winner.
