Fellow 2022 Wash100 Award winner and GovCon Expert Kevin Plexico, senior vice president for information solutions at Deltek, expressed his excitement to be recognized alongside Peterson, who he described as a key driver in Deltek’s success in GovCon.
“As a top Deltek Senior Analyst, Deniece plays a significant role bringing innovative ideas to help companies think and respond to changing market conditions,” Plexico explained. “I am grateful Deniece’s hard work has been recognized and wish her continued success in 2022.”
Deniece Peterson has been influential and instrumental in driving Deltek’s unique workplace and culture and creating a value-driven environment where the company’s workforce is given constant opportunities to grow, advance in their careers to be accepted and empowered.
Under Peterson’s leadership, as well as the full senior leadership, Deltek strives to create an environment in which employees are inspired to achieve more, and one where we are committed to actively deconstructing the barriers that may make anyone feel like an outsider.
“The place we work is very personal; it’s a place where we dedicate significant time and effort, where we share our personal and professional aspirations and form meaningful relationships. Deltek’s inclusivity makes people feel like it is not only a safe place to do that, but also one that values and facilitates it.”
Back in August, Peterson expressed her belief that M&A activity and federal IT modernization efforts will continue in response to government agencies’ demands for new tech platforms. She predicted a gradual increase in federal spending on commercial IT products and services as federal agencies come out of the pandemic to speed up the federal acquisition process.
Peterson joined Deltek in 2010 as part of an acquisition. Since her start, her focus has been on market intelligence to the GovCon industry for more than 14 years. She also leads a team of GovWin research analysts focused on strategic analysis of federal budgets, contracting and IT market forecasting.
