ICF was tapped by the Federal Highway Administration to help modernize the national transportation system under a potential $94 million blanket purchase agreement.

The consulting services company, along with other awardees of the five-year recompete BPA, will provide FHWA with technical assistance and other services in support of its development of the next generation system for transportation management, ICF said Tuesday.

Contractors will also perform research and outreach support, create strategies leveraging automation, broadband, connectivity and emerging mobility as well as address greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental concerns. Specifically, ICF will assign a team consisting of professionals in data analytics, clean transportation, climate change, emergency management and traffic engineering to support agency efforts.

“These improvements will support the economic vitality, safety, security and quality of life of the nation’s communities and citizens,” said Anne Choate, executive vice president and energy, environment and infrastructure lead at ICF.
