Cubic’s mission and performance solutions business has partnered with computer hardware manufacturer MEMKOR to incorporate a secure data-at-rest capability into the former’s high-powered computing platform designed for multiple virtual environments.
The M3-SE-VSVR5-P hardware utilizes MEMKOR’s self-encrypting drives to secure and encrypt data stored on field-deployed servers without the need to rely on a centralized key management server, Cubic said Tuesday.
The computing device has 16 physical cores and can store up to 128 gigabytes of data from multiple virtual machines.
The hardware works to protect data from unauthorized access or modification resulting from theft, loss or repurposing of drives.
“Now that SDAR is a new Department of Defense requirement, we are pleased with the Cubic partnership with MEMKOR, and our M3-SE-VSVR5-P product ensures the data is fully secured and encrypted,” said Anthony Verna, senior vice president and general manager of Cubic’s edge compute and networking business unit.
