HII to Support Marine Corps' CBRNE Consequence Management Program - top government contractors - best government contracting event

An HII business unit has received a one-year, $15.3 million contract to help the U.S. Marine Corps develop plans and policies, for responding to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive events.

HII Defense and Federal Solutions will provide other technical services to the branch’s CBRNE Consequence Management Program, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The group will also help USMC manage logistics and the life cycle of equipment for the program, assess threats and capabilities, demonstrate information technology platforms and engineer systems.

Efforts under the firm-fixed-price contract will support Headquarters Marine Corps’ Plans, Policies and Operations department and Marine Corps Installations Command.

Marine Corps and Navy operation and maintenance funds totaling $2.2 million will be obligated at the time of the award.

Sixyty-five percent of contract work will occur in Washington, D.C., and the rest in North Carolina and California.

HII formed its Defense and Federal Solutions business in 2020 by combining the company’s mission driven innovation solutions and fleet support groups as part of a realignment move.
