ICF has received a $15 million contract to perform environmental consulting work for California-based water infrastructure projects managed by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation.

The four-year contract entails compliance, modeling and analytical services to support the agency’s operational oversight of Central Valley and State Water projects in the state, ICF said Tuesday.

“The CVP and SWP encompass a complex, interrelated system of dams, reservoirs, hydroelectric plants and other facilities that help California manage its water supply during extreme drought and generate power to support the energy grid,” said Anne Choate, executive vice president of energy, environment and infrastructure at ICF.

Choate added that the company will work to help the bureau meet its interrelated project goals.

ICF plans to assist state initiatives that could make way for facility additions or upgrades needed to manage fish and wildlife, restore habitats and operate water and power systems.
