BAE Systems will look to integrate Red 6‘s augmented reality technology with the Hawk aircraft trainer platform for military pilots under a memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies.
Both parties seek to facilitate airmen training in virtual cooperation and threat management for modern battlefield scenarios with the Red 6-built Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality System, BAE said Tuesday.
The Hawk-ATARS integration effort was unveiled at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference being held in Orlando, Florida.
Red 6 designed its AR system to employ indoor and outdoor settings as a medium for data sharing and interaction as part of synthetic training activities.
