Fed IT Leader Bobby Saxon Appointed Leidos VP - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Bobby Saxon, a retired U.S. Army colonel and outgoing deputy director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Office of Information Technology, is set to rejoin the industry as a vice president at Leidos.

In a LinkedIn post, Saxon said he will focus on customer advocacy in his new role at Leidos.

Saxon held various roles of increasing responsibility during his six-year career at CMS, including as acting director for emergency preparedness and response operations and chief technology officer for the health insurance exchange website Healthcare.gov.

He previously served chief innovation officer at software developer Sitscape and co-founded an insurance services company in Athens, Georgia.

His Army career included roles such as program director and assistant deputy CIO for operations and plans.
