Cubic Mission and Performance Solutions will upgrade a Foreign Military Sales customer’s combat training center under a firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation.

The contractor is tasked to provide total lifecycle systems management, including a number of live training products for individual soldiers, vehicles, anti-tank weapons, fixed/mobile CTC networks and Observer Controller voice systems as well as sustainment services, CMPS announced from San Diego, California on Wednesday.

“We’re proud to continue the support of our foreign partners with modernization of their Combat Training Centers,” said CMPS President Paul Shew, who also stressed the importance of maintaining the readiness of U.S. mission partners and allies.

To enable multi-domain training across federated locations, the company will provide its software and integration offerings to the FMS client.

“Delivering training opportunities at the right time, place, and in the correct situation will benefit our foreign partners both in the present and the future,” said Jonas Furukrona, vice president and general manager of CPMS’ Live, Virtual and Constructive Training.

The contract expands Cubic’s 25-year experience in providing foreign partners with live training system support. Currently, the company is the largest provider of live training systems for the U.S., NATO and other allies.

As of now, Cubic has fielded over 250,000 systems at more than 25 fixed and mobile combat training ranges spanning 33 countries.

Furukrona said that the organization’s established products and supply chain, high-volume production facility and international workforce are continuing this work.

In 2022, Cubic collaborated with multiple service branches in improving and testing training systems and related technologies. In October, the Army tested a Cubic and General Dynamics-developed instrumented mortar system for synthetic training use.

Earlier that year, Cubic Defense Applications won a potential $90.6 million firm-fixed-price contract from the Air Force to install a National Security Agency-approved control interface into its P5 Combat Training System, which is used by both U.S. and allied forces.
