Galois to Create Qualified Parser Generator Under DARPA SafeDocs Program - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has selected Galois to advance to the final phase of the Safe Documents program under which the software company will develop new methods of enhancing the cybersecurity of electronic data formats.

Galois said Friday it will partner with Verocel and Real-Time Innovations to create a code generator meant to allow programmers to construct qualified parsers for new electronic files under phase 3 of the SafeDocs program.

The team’s parser generator for the Data Distribution Service standard interface description language will enable a pre-qualified parsing process for automatically generating secure code.

“A qualifiable DDS code generator would be a market-first. It would shorten time to system deployment and reduce the cost to certify and to recertify these systems,” said Paul Pazandak, director of research at RTI.

The phase 3 SafeDocs award is valued at $4.6 million.
