PSC Asks VA to Adopt Deliberate Process in Finalizing RFP for T4NG2 IT Support Vehicle - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The Professional Services Council has called on the Department of Veterans Affairs to improve communication and provide industry at least four weeks to comment on the draft request for proposals for the potential $61 billion Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation 2 contract vehicle for information technology products and services.

VA issued the draft RFP for the T4NG2 contract on Jan. 13, and PSC said Tuesday the department gave industry only four business days to submit feedback with plans to issue the final solicitation in February.

Given the tremendous size, scope, and significance of this contract, the VA should make every effort to promote transparency and engagement with industry and to encourage competition,” said Krista Sweet, vice president for civilian agencies at PSC.

While recognizing the VA’s commitment to the timely delivery of veterans’ health services, the T4NG2 rollout and rushed timeline are jeopardizing that goal,” added Sweet.

PSC also urged VA to implement a thoughtful process when it comes to adjudicating and integrating feedback before issuing the final solicitation for the T4NG2 vehicle.
