Parsons has received a potential six-year, $55 million contract to help Space Systems Command prepare and integrate a medium Earth orbit missile warning and tracking architecture.
“SSC’s Missile Track Custody Epoch 1 Program effort will deliver ground segment capabilities to be in-place and tested ahead of launch rehearsals, and ultimately support the official launch of MTC space vehicles into MEO,” Paul Decker, president of defense and intelligence sector at Parsons, said in a statement published Friday.
Under the contract, the company will help establish the MEO Space Operations Center in Boulder, Colorado, to deliver command and control, sensor mission data processing, mission management, data product dissemination and ground resource management support.
The MSOC will provide workspaces, networks, communication interfaces, space vehicle launch, infrastructure and other systems by serving as headquarters for MTC-related ground operations.
Parsons will also integrate and test end-to-end ground and support tools to facilitate the launch and operation of the MEO constellation designed to provide data for military decision-makers in real time.
