Jacobs Secures $80M Navy IDIQ for Engineering Support Services - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic has awarded Jacobs an $80 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide environmental compliance engineering support for U.S. military installations worldwide.

The single-award IDIQ requires environmental services for facilities operated by the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense in the eastern half of the U.S., Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Jacobs said Tuesday.

Advancing Environmental Compliance for Navy Operations

According to Susannah Kerr, executive vice president and general manager for federal and environment at Jacobs, the contract renewal will advance the environmental compliance of the Navy’s maritime operations. “Supporting NAVFAC with environmental stewardship is integral to enabling the U.S. Navy to focus on their core mission of maintaining freedom of the seas,” she noted.

Under the five-year deal, the company will provide environmental services associated with petroleum storage tank and petroleum, oil and lubricant asset compliance; oil spill preparedness and planning compliance; air quality and Clean Air Act compliance; Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act compliance; and material and waste management. The contract will ensure that Navy and Marine Corps operations in the covered areas adhere to environmental compliance standards.

The award builds on Jacob’s ongoing efforts to deliver infrastructure design, innovative program management, sustainable energy and environmental stewardship capabilities to various NAVFAC units. Jacob said the partnership establishes resilient and secure environments that advance peace and prosperity and protect nations and communities.
