Perspecta has received a follow-on award from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide technical services in support of its Global Content Delivery Services (GCDS) II program. The single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) and firm-fixed-price agreement has a ceiling value of $201.5 million and includes a three-year base and three one-year option years, the company said Thursday.

Veritas Capital has moved to acquire Perspecta for $7.1 billion and plans to combine the latter to its portfolio company Peraton to expand its position in the government technology market. Perspecta has entered into a definitive agreement for the all-cash transaction. Shurronne Young Davis, senior director of enterprise security at Perspecta, said the Defense Information Systems Agency must implement a framework that integrates automation, innovation, engineering and cyber elements for its new information technology modernization program.

Perspecta has been awarded a potential five-year, $112 million single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to perform systems engineering and integration (SE&I) work for the Space Development Agency (SDA). The company’s work on the program began in late October under an initial $17.8 million task order. 

Chris Painter, vice president and chief engineer for the Navy and Marine Corps Intranet at Perspecta, wrote in an article published Wednesday on Breaking Defense that there are several steps the Defense Information Systems Agency can take as it plans to modernize the information technology infrastructure of fourth estate agencies through the Defense Enclave Services program. He said the first step calls for DISA to assess the as-is environment to better understand the capabilities of the IT infrastructure and the population’s requirements.

Perspecta Labs has received a $13 million follow-on award on the modular radio frequency (ModRF) program for the U.S. Army from the Consortium Management Group on behalf of the Consortium for Command, Control and Communications in Cyberspace (C5). Perspecta Labs will help provide an efficient, agile and modular radio frequency (RF) communications capability.

Perspecta has reported financial results for its second fiscal quarter ending Oct. 2. Perspecta will move several benefits and financial applications of the California State Teachers’ Retirement System to the cloud under a potential nine-year, $42.5M contract. The company said Wednesday it will deploy Agile teams to support the migration effort and help CalSTRS maintain the hosted platform as part of the contract.

Perspecta has been awarded multiple classified programs, with a collective value of more than $519 million, to provide mission support to U.S. government customers. Perspecta’s applied research unit has received a $5.1M contract modification to mature a radio-frequency management system for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and demonstrate the technology on an unmanned aerial vehicle.
