Ashburn, Virginia-based information technology company Telos has received a potential five-year, $13.5 million contract from the FBI for a cyber risk management capability in support of the bureau's Enterprise Information Security Section.

Ganpat Wagh, a retired FBI special agent, brings 30 years of senior leadership experience in the private and public sectors to his new role at Cornerstone Defense as vice president of cyber operations.

The FBI has awarded AT&T a $92 million mobility contract to provide additional FirstNet capabilities that support the bureau's operations. “We are pleased to see the Department of Justice (DOJ) expand its use of the network platform to connect more agencies within the law enforcement community,” said Ed Parkinson, CEO of the FirstNet Authority.

He most recently served as deputy director of the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center and is a recipient of the 2011 Human Capital Leadership Award from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence

Stephanie Douglas, former senior FBI official, has been appointed president of the newly created national security practice at investigations and security consulting firm Guidepost Solutions.

Jerry Bessette, a former senior cybersecurity official with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has joined Booz Allen Hamilton to lead its commercial business, Booz Allen announced on Tuesday. 

The FBI is still in the process of evaluating quotes and plans to announce in the coming weeks the top 60 vendors that will move to the second phase of the solicitation for the IT Supplies and Support Services recompete contract.

The FBI has posted a request for information on software applications designed to help users create information technology architecture models and map a portfolio of IT projects.

Eric Welling, former deputy assistant director of the cyber division at the FBI, has been named senior security executive at Accenture, CyberScoop reported Friday. He will manage the company's North America Incident Response Command Center, which analyzes cyber threats and provides security support to customers.

FBI will host vendor days on June 4 and 5 in Jacksonville, Fla., to discuss with industry the updated requirements of the recompete for its Information Technology Supplies and Support Services contract, Nextgov reported Monday.
