Science Applications International Corp. has selected J3 Consulting to support the Department of the Treasury’s cloud adoption efforts by serving as the cloud reseller for the T-Cloud contract. T-Cloud is a potential seven-year, $1.3 billion single-source contract awarded to SAIC in June to help the Treasury use a flexible approach to using data in the cloud and move to a multicloud information technology environment, J3 Consulting said.

SAIC will deliver information technology services for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs through a potential 10-year, $60.7 billion award. Experienced contracts executive Heather Gerczak has been elevated from her prior role as senior vice president of business operations at Integral Federal to the organization’s chief administrative officer. In her new position, Gerczak, who also serves as chair of the contracts group of Executive Mosaic’s elite 4x24 Leadership Series, will be senior-most authority on human resources, administration, facilities management, marketing and contracts and security, the Rockville, Maryland-based company said Tuesday.

SAIC has been selected for a $63 million U.S. Navy contract focused on hypersonics and strategic mission support. Vincent DiFronzo, senior vice president of the Air Force, DOD Agency, Combatant Command business unit at Science Applications International Corp., said there are five ways organizations can prioritize military veterans and their families and the first two are through corporate leadership and human resources programs. “Companies with the most successful veteran hiring initiatives and employee resource groups are those led by veterans or military family members themselves,” DiFronzo wrote in an opinion piece published Monday in Stars and Stripes.

Science Applications International Corp. has unveiled zero trust edge capabilities that have been tested on Amazon Web Services-built devices that offer on-board storage and enable users to perform edge computing and data transfer tasks. SAIC said Thursday it worked with AWS, Koverse, Okta, CrowdStrike, Splunk and Zscaler to deploy zero trust technologies that offer multilevel security from the edge and enable offline computing capabilities to help address network connectivity challenges.
