Adita Karkera, formerly deputy chief data officer for the state of Arkansas, has joined Deloitte Consulting’s government analytics and cognitive practice as a data and artificial intelligence architect. She will advise CDOs in federal and state agencies on their AI and data strategies and serve as a fellow in Deloitte’s AI Institute for Government.

Deloitte has been designated a technology and consulting partner for Amazon Web Services' mainframe migration competency. Deloitte said Wednesday its business operations and consulting services, development operations, security and the innoWake automation platform help customers migrate mainframe workloads to the AWS cloud.

A global survey conducted by Deloitte indicates that four out of five enterprise networking executives consider advanced wireless technology as vital to the deployment of cloud and edge computing, internet of things, big data analytics and artificial intelligence platforms.

A new Deloitte report has identified nine technology trends that are likely to cause disruption for government agencies over the next 12 to 18 months. The company's annual report Tech Trends 2021: A Government Perspective scored each trend based on its relevance to agencies and the government’s readiness to implement such trends and showed that machine learning operations or MLOps, revitalization of core assets, zero trust approaches and a reboot of the digital workplace were considered the most relevant to agencies.

Deloitte and Google Cloud have expanded the companies' partnership to introduce additional products and services intended to help government customers address digital transformation goals, Deloitte announced Monday.
