General Atomics' electromagnetic systems unit has inaugurated its customer service hub in Patuxent River, Maryland, that will serve customers such as Naval Air Systems Command and support local business growth efforts of the company. James Donnelly, director of maritime program operations at GA-EMS, will manage the office and ensure the delivery of launch and recovery systems that are intended for the U.S. Navy's Ford-class nuclear powered aircraft carriers, General Atomics said Monday.

San Marcos, Texas-based Berry Aviation has opened a new division in Stillwater, Oklahoma, that is focused on conducting research into unmanned aerial systems to support the Department of Defense in the areas of propulsion, navigation and acoustic improvements. The company’s newly created autonomous and unmanned aviation division has hired additional engineers to support work related to UAS and counter-UAS activities.

BayFirst Solutions will collaborate with Credence Dynamo Solutions on a contract for engineering and scientific support to the U.S. Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center in North Carolina. Washington, D.C.-based BayFirst said Tuesday the industry team will analyze aircraft platforms, the root cause of a particular failure and systems in the military branch's fleet of more than 200 airplanes and helicopters.
