Deloitte and Polte have partnered to help the U.S. Navy deploy cellular location technology at a military installation in San Diego as part of a 5G-ready warehouse prototype demonstration project backed by the Department of Defense.

Deloitte has appointed John Coykendall, a principal at its consulting business, to lead the company's U.S. aerospace and defense (A&D) sector within the U.S. industrial products and construction practice. Coykendall will also lead Deloitte's global aerospace and defense sector, succeeding Robin Lineberger, who will retire in May. 

Deloitte and the Aerospace Industries Association have published a joint report that says cooperation between the public and private sectors could help the emerging air mobility market grow into a $115 billion industry by 2035.

A new Deloitte report has identified nine technology trends that are likely to cause disruption for government agencies over the next 12 to 18 months. The company's annual report Tech Trends 2021: A Government Perspective scored each trend based on its relevance to agencies and the government's readiness to implement such trends and showed that machine learning operations or MLOps, revitalization of core assets, zero trust approaches and a reboot of the digital workplace were considered the most relevant to agencies.

Deloitte has published the AI in the Enterprise, 3rd Edition study of enterprise AI adopters, analyzing the ethical risks of technology and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across organizations, the company reported on Wednesday.
