Shamlan Siddiqi, chief technology officer of NTT DATA’s public sector business, has said the federal government should advance information technology modernization in order to meet the needs and expectations of citizens. CGI Federal has secured a potential five-year, $72 million award to modernize a healthcare system for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Under the single award, firm-fixed price contract, CGI will work to transform plan enrollment and compliance processes for hundreds of private health and drug plans supported by the agency’s Health Plan Management System, the Fairfax, Virginia-based company said Tuesday.
