AECOM has appointed Andrew Liu as senior vice president and director of growth for the company’s U.S. West region transportation business, where he will work to lead growth for the segment. “We are pleased to have Andrew return to AECOM and help lead our transportation strategy and growth,” said Travis Boone, regional chief executive for AECOM’s U.S. West region.

AECOM has appointed Jennifer Aument as chief executive of the company’s global transportation segment and Drew Jeter as chief executive of its global program management business. Aument’s appointment will take effect April 5 and Jeter’s selection will begin on Jan. 25. AECOM has partnered with Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) and Columbia University to monitor COVID-19 ribonucleic acid (RNA) in wastewater, which can be a leading indicator of infection rates, in the BCUA sewer shed. The team has collected, tested and analyzed more than 650 samples, with results indicating that wastewater monitoring statistically provides a seven- to ten-day leading indicator of reported COVID-19 cases.

AECOM has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its civil construction business, including its Shimmick Construction business, to Oroco Capital.
