BlueHalo and Stellar Sciences have secured contracts worth $49.4 million combined to support the Air Force Research Laboratory's Satellite Assessment Center at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. Both contractors will help the center advance modeling, simulation, analysis, assessment and technical capabilities necessary to protect strategic U.S. space assets, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Mercury Systems has received a production contract from BlueHalo to deliver a signal processing technology for the latter's digital beaming platform being developed for the U.S. Space Force's Satellite Communication Augmentation Resource program. The company said Thursday it will produce a field-programmable gate array-based common signal acquisition and digital beamforming tool for BlueHalo's BADGER technology, a transportable ground-based communications system that uses re-configurable beamforming tiles for simplifying space operations.

BlueHalo has secured a four-year logistics support contract to help the U.S. Army manage and maintain its laser weapon system designed to defend forces and critical infrastructure against threats from small unmanned aircraft systems. The company said Monday it will serve as the full-cycle lead system integrator overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance and operator and maintenance team training for the Army's Palletized High Energy Laser system.

The company said Thursday VigilantHalo is a software-driven tool that features integrated data processing, fusion tracker and communications system for air traffic control, BVLOS and counter-UAS activities as well as air and missile defense.

BlueHalo, an Arlington Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired Ipsolon Research, a provider of high-performance, ultra-small form factor software-defined radios, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is intended to support BlueHalo's current strategic and technological priorities by accelerating rapid prototyping and product delivery and promoting quality within its supply chain.

BlueHalo has secured a contract from the Office of Naval Research and Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division to develop a high-energy laser technology prototype for integration onto the U.S. Marine Corps’ Joint Light Tactical Vehicles. The company said it will adapt its Locust laser weapon platform to equip the JLTVs with laser-powered counter-unmanned aerial systems capabilities that will work to identify, engage and disable drone targets.
