Lumen has secured a position as an authorized service provider on the $721 million Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) National Local Exchange Carrier Next Generation contract vehicle, as well as a spot on VA's $195 million Data and Wide Area Network Carrier contract vehicle. "Lumen's amazing platform for data and applications is ideally positioned to help government agencies like the VA achieve their IT modernization goals," said David Young, two-time Wash100 Award recipient and SVP for the public sector and Lumen's global hyperscaler business.

CenturyLink is on the lookout for opportunities to help more federal agencies transform network infrastructure assets through the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract vehicle. "We're still waiting for some fairly large agencies to release what they're going to do from an EIS perspective," David Young, senior vice president of CenturyLink's public sector business and two-time Wash100 awardee, told FedScoop in an interview.

David Young, CenturyLink's senior vice president for strategic government, told FCW in an interview published Friday that the company expects agencies to start awarding task orders soon to contractors with authority to operate under the General Services Administration's 15-year, $50B Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions vehicle. CenturyLink has become the first vendor to secure an ATO on the EIS contract for telecommunications and information technology services.
