Jeh Johnson, a partner at law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and former secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, has been appointed to offer advice and counsel to Vienna, Virginia-based private equity firm Enlightenment Capital. Johnson will rely on his over 30-year public and private sector experience to provide legal assistance to the Enlightenment Capital as part of the engagement agreement, the firm said Tuesday.

The completion of Fund III will allow the company to continue to carry out its strategy to invest in middle-market firms in the aerospace, defense and government markets, Enlightenment Capital said Thursday.
