Starting as a senior program manager in August 2014 at NextGen, Bissett steadily rose to become division manager and then VP of corporate operations before assuming his most recent position.

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency seeks to determine the availability of companies interested in and capable of addressing the requirements of the Mission Information Technology Next Generation contract. In a sources sought notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov, the DTRA said it is in pursuit of companies capable of operating and maintaining the MIT NextGen program's data analytics systems for use by different combatant commands.

Perspecta has entered into a collaboration agreement with NextgenID to develop an identity proofing solution to remotely assess and verify the identity of individuals who apply for credentials to gain physical and network access to government facilities, Perspecta reported on Tuesday. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) updated the SP800-63A standard to enable the use of remote identity proofing for federal agencies.

NextGen Federal Systems has received a two-year contract with Air Force Research Laboratory to help defense and intelligence communities analyze and transmit large amounts of weather data. The company said Thursday it will work to develop a weather analysis-as-a-service that would streamline analytical and dissemination processes for high-resolution weather data around the globe. AFRL awarded the contract under the Small Business Innovation Research program.
