U.S. defense technology company Anduril Industries has entered into a strategic partnership with South Korean commercial and military shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. Anduril said Saturday that under the partnership, it will collaborate with HD Hyundai to develop new kinds of autonomous naval systems for use by the U.S., South Korea and their allies.
MoreAnduril Technologies has teamed up with the U.S. business arm of South Korea's Hanwha Group to compete for a U.S. Army contract to build the next version of the service branch's Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport ground robots. Under the partnership, Anduril will serve as the prime contractor to deliver a modified uncrewed ground vehicle based on Hanwha Defense's Arion-SMET, a robotic and autonomous multipurpose UGV, Anduril said Thursday.

MoreAnduril has unveiled Roadrunner, a vertical takeoff and landing-capable autonomous air vehicle, and its ground-based air defense variant, Roadrunner-Munition. Roadrunner features a twin-jet engine and a modular payload system while Roadrunner-M features target interception capabilities and reusability if it is not used to destroy the target, Anduril said Frida.
