Google Cloud will offer its new courses and certifications in generative artificial intelligence, data analytics and cybersecurity to the Department of the Treasury's current and future workforce. Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector and a 2024 Wash100 awardee, said in a blog post published Tuesday that the company's partnership with the Treasury is part of the latter's efforts to drive a skills-based approach to talent acquisition and expand the federal government's access to a broader technology talent pool.

Carahsoft Technology, under a partnership agreement, will distribute Ardalyst's defense industrial base-compliant cybersecurity service through its reseller partners to the public sector and government contractors. Tesseract can develop, implement and maintain cybersecurity programs tailored to fulfill Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification compliance requirements for small and mid-sized enterprises both on on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures, Carahsoft said Tuesday.

Robert Moore of Carahsoft Technology said in a blog post published Feb. 23 that government and industry information technology leaders at a digital transformation roadshow in California discussed how state and local government agencies could improve customer experience and protect the privacy of constituents through cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

KBR has received a one-year, $60.7 million task order for cybersecurity services from the Defense Health Agency. ECS, through its wholly owned subsidiary Iron Vine Security, will provide the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services with comprehensive cybersecurity support under a $120 million award. The CMS Cybersecurity Integration Center Operations contract will extend ECS' support for the agency and the CMS Healthcare Marketplace through 2029, the company said Tuesday.

Incubation firm Red Cell Partners is providing cybersecurity technology developer Eyris $3 million in pre-seed funding meant to allow the company to start a Department of Defense pilot program and offer services to other federal agencies. Eyris offers blockchain-based security and ransomware mitigation products that are cloud- and encryption-agnostic and work to integrate with various existing applications, Red Cell said Wednesday.

The State Risk and Authorization Management Program, the regional version of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, will require greater accountability from organizations supporting or providing cybersecurity services to the U.S. government, said Ted Cotterill, Indiana's chief privacy officer and general counsel for the Management Performance Hub. Speaking to Bill Sullivan, vice president and general manager of U.S. federal business at Denodo, Cotterill provided an overview of the StateRAMP model implementation in different states as well as private sector cooperation with the program.
