The Federal Bureau of Prisons has chosen Dewberry to provide architectural and engineering services required for the construction, repair or renovation of correctional facilities throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Professional services contractor Dewberry will collaborate with civil engineering and mapping company Lowe Engineers through a mentor-protege relationship under a program run by the Small Business Administration. Dewberry said Monday it will guide Lowe Engineers in internal business management and help the service-disabled veteran-owned small business position itself to compete for federal contracts.


Dewberry has secured a contract extension from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to continue monitoring construction projects and providing other support services in the Northern Mariana Islands. Work under the extended Logistics Construction Support Contract task order will cover the management of more than 600 housing repair and construction efforts in Tinian and Saipan, Dewberry said Friday.


Dewberry has appointed Larry Sugarbaker as a senior technical adviser to the company's geospatial and technology services group, Dewberry reported on Friday. His areas of expertise include business development, GIS and information technology, remote sensing and forestry. "We are thrilled to welcome Larry to our team,“ said Dewberry senior vice president, Amar Nayegandhi, CP, CMS, GISP.


Dewberry will map approximately 13,600 square miles of land across 12 counties in Utah under a mapping service contract from the U.S. Geological Survey. The company said Thursday it will collect and analyze data using a light detection and ranging system for the project area encompassing the counties of Cache, Carbon, Dagget, Duchesne, Emery, Grand, Morgan, Iron, Weber, Summit, Washington and Uintah.


Dewberry has appointed Robert Victor an operating unit manager to lead the company's mid-Atlantic engineering operations, The company said Wednesday Victor brings more than two decades of experience to his new position and will supervise more than 350 employees across divisions that offer engineering, geospatial, survey and mapping, environmental and construction services.
