The federal business of ECS has secured a prime spot on a potential $500 million contract vehicle from the National Institutes of Health to provide professional support services for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. Under the Strategic Technical ARPA-H Talent Support contract vehicle, ECS said Monday it will provide systems engineering, technical advisory support and other professional services such as financial and program management.

ECS will provide and integrate artificial intelligence/machine learning capabilities in support of Department of Defense organizations and combatant commands over a three-year contracting period. The company said Tuesday it secured a $190 million contract from the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command to serve as an Army Research Lab system integrator tasked to help advance DOD missions.

Integrating advanced algorithms such as artificial intelligence-based data analytics into military operations will speed up battlespace strategizing and decision-making, said Martin Klein, vice president of analytics and AI at ECS. ECS has secured a prime spot on the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s $1.25 billion Technical and Analytical Support Services contract vehicle. ECS will offer technical, analytical and program support services to help DARPA achieve its research and development mission goals, the Fairfax, Virginia-based company announced on Wednesday.

ECS will add Microsoft Defender as an endpoint tool to the second version of its Army Endpoint Security Solution as part of capability improvements and upgrades, said Mark Maglin, ECS' vice president of Department of Defense cybersecurity.
