Some technology industry leaders said President Joe Biden's recent executive order offers a new paradigm for the public sector to expand cyber threat information sharing initiatives with the private sector and update cloud service cybersecurity requirements. "The Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity moves us into the era of Cloud Secure,” Stephen Kovac, vice president of global government and head of corporate compliance at Zscaler.


Zscaler, Inc. announced on Thursday that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Trustdome, a leading innovator in Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM). “We are extending our vision for Zscaler Cloud Protection to help customers securely embrace public cloud platforms and services in today’s cloud-first world,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO, chairman and founder, Zscaler, Inc. 


Zscaler has partnered with cybersecurity company Steel Root to jointly conduct vetting support to defense industrial base entities seeking to comply with the  Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. The companies intend to integrate Steel Root“™s CMMC-focused compliance services with Zscaler“™s zero-trust access technology that has been authorized under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, Steel Root said Tuesday.


Zscaler has partnered with Telos to use the latter's Xacta cyber risk assessment tool to help automate deployment authorizations under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and Department of Defense. The team will execute a phased rollout process and integrate Xacta with Zscaler's System Security Plan to handle risk management activities for Zscaler's Z-OS variant of the Linux operating system, Telos said Wednesday.
