In June 2021, Turner Construction was one of the companies selected for the firm-fixed-price contract with a ceiling of $950 billion. Turner and four other companies competed for each task order for the site construction involving mechanical systems, plumbing, heating, fire protection, air conditioning, and other government facilities. In August 2021, the Chicago-based Walsh-Turner Joint Venture II received an estimated $840 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Under the agreement, the joint venture will build a new full-service medical center for Veterans Affairs to replace the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. The work includes a regional laundry facility, a parking structure and a parking lot, new roadways and sidewalks, fencing, and a utility plant. The expected completion date is in November 2025.
3. New York City Department’s Design and Construction Contract for the New Police Academy, $656 Million

In January 2010, the STV-Turner Construction joint venture won an estimated $656 million contract award to render construction management services for New York City Police Department’s new police academy in Queens. New York.
The partnership was responsible for procurement, contracts, and management of the redevelopment of the campus. The work included a central utility plant, physical training buildings (running track and special tactical gyms), campus supply loops, and an academic building (faculty offices and library).

In August 2016, Turner Construction was one of the four companies that won a contract award worth $400 million each from the U.S. Air Force for the facilities Acquisitions for Restoration and Modernization (FARM) program.
Under the contract, Turner provided design and build, electrical, construction, electrical, and mechanical services for the military ground testing facilities. In March 2018, the California Department of General Services awarded an estimated $520 million design-build contract for the California Natural Resources Agency and other state offices, including the Departments of Water Resources, Fish and Wildlife, and Parks and Recreation.
The new headquarters, called the New Natural Resources Headquarters, was designed to provide technical and collaboration space for government functions for California’s environment and natural resources and to support employee wellness.
The work includes upgrades to the exterior of the Heilbron House and the building of a childcare center. The project was intended to accommodate about 3500 employees and included 21 stories of office space, 300 seats in the auditorium, a retail space, a pedestrian plaza, and a commercial food court.
