Honeywell has secured a potential eight-year, $70 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to provide spare parts for a company-built radar altimeter technology used in U.S. Army helicopters. The Department of Defense said Friday the contract will cover spares and repairs for the Radar Altimeter Common Core APN-209, including receiver transmitters and indicator receiver transmitters.
L3Harris Technologies is set to enhance solid rocket motor production in Orange County, Virginia, with investments totaling $41.2 million through a partnership agreement with the county. Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and SES have showcased a virtualized and containerized satellite communications network for the U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command. The demonstration seamlessly supported medium Earth orbit satellite operations using SES’ O3b MEO network and Kratos’ fully software-defined satellite ground OpenSpace platform in a "make-before-break" mode, Kratos said Wednesday.
