The Department of State has approved a request by the government of Ukraine to acquire equipment and services that would help sustain vehicles and weapon systems provided by the U.S. Army. The acquisition aims to address Ukraine's need to strengthen local sustainment capabilities and thereby maintain high operational rates and battlefield effectiveness of materiel from the U.S., the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday.

A potential foreign military sale of Basler BT-67 aircraft to the government of Argentina has been approved by the U.S. Department of State. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday that the FMS has an estimated cost of $143 million and includes the aircraft themselves, various parts, technical documentation, training equipment and logistics and program support, such as personnel training, technical and engineering services and transportation.

The U.S. Department of State has approved a request by the Ukrainian government to acquire articles and services related to the sustainment of the HAWK Phase III missile system. The $138 million foreign military sale covers spare parts, test and support equipment, tool kits, missile recertification components, engineering and integration, refurbishment and system overhaul, logistics and program support and contractor technical and field office support, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
