EMAP will, like ESIF, be situated at the South Table Mountain Campus in Golden, Colorado, and will house research capabilities meant to bring about materials and process innovations in numerous fields, including advanced manufacturing, energy storage, net-zero chemicals and industrial decarbonization, NREL said Tuesday.

Infinite Composites, a designer of composite pressure vessels, has entered into a strategic partnership with Leonid Capital Partners, a private investment firm that provides alternative financing solutions for U.S. government contractors. Infinite Composites said Wednesday that the financing agreement is tailored to its Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract with the U.S. Army, facilitating internal growth investments and enabling the rapid development of aerospace and transportation pressure vessels.

General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business used an MQ-20 Avenger unmanned aircraft to demonstrate its open standards-based autonomy architecture for unmanned combat air vehicles and a U.S. government-owned communications capability, dubbed Waveform X, during a flight test in November. The live test flight held at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.’s flight operations facility in El Mirage, California, used three L3Harris Technologies-built software-defined radios to support command and control, line of sight and data movement capabilities through the nonproprietary Waveform X platform, the company said Tuesday.

RTC Aerospace, a portfolio company of private equity firm Stellex Capital Management, has acquired Vanderhorst Brothers Industries, a Simi Valley, California-based manufacturer of precision aerospace parts. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed but RTC said Tuesday the deal will expand its product portfolios and capabilities to produce high-precision components for aerospace and defense applications.

Parsons Corporation has launched Cyberzcape Tracker, an artificial intelligence and machine learning-powered cybersecurity offering meant to protect critical infrastructure networks by combining passive monitoring and active threat neutralization capabilities. Astroscale's U.S. business has secured a $25.5 million contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a small satellite capable of conducting uninterrupted refueling missions in geostationary orbit. The Astroscale Prototype Servicer for Refueling will be designed to carry and transfer hydrazine directly to client spacecraft, Astroscale U.S. said Wednesday.
