Built on Oracle's cloud-based enterprise resource planning software, the Oracle Cloud Federal Financials has embedded artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities that work to enable federal agencies to gain insights into their financial data to inform decision-making and business optimization initiatives, Oracle said Thursday.

The Space Systems Command has issued a request for information as part of a strategy to establish an integrated satellite network with space-based environmental monitoring capabilities that would provide terrestrial and space weather data to meet Department of Defense forecasting needs. Rocket Lab's U.S. subsidiary has deployed two satellites to different orbits approximately 500 km apart using its Electron rocket for NASA and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Electron's 47th mission lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, carrying the NEONSAT-1 payload developed by KAIST and the Advanced Composite Solar Sail System from NASA, Rocket Lab USA said Tuesday.

Oshkosh's defense business unit has secured a $40 million contract from the Marine Corps Systems Command to build and deliver Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires carriers for use in the service branch's ground-based, anti-ship missile launcher. The delivery order covers the procurement of the ROGUE-Fires carriers in support of the Navy Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
