BAE Systems Inc. has partnered with simulation software developer Ansys to streamline the adoption of digital engineering and model-based systems engineering approaches for security and defense applications within the Department of Defense. Ansys said Tuesday it will assist the customers of BAE in phasing out manual processes and implementing simulation methods and data management for DOD programs through the latter's Mission Advantage technology partnership program.

The U.S. Navy has awarded CACI International a potential five-year, $59.9 million contract to operate and integrate information operations payloads into unmanned aerial vehicles supplied to joint forces. The sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a three-year base term valued at approximately $37.5 million and a two-year option period that could bring the ceiling amount to $59.9 million, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Trellix has achieved authorization to deliver its cybersecurity offering to Google Cloud's customers as part of the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program's Build Engagement Model category. Under the partnership program, Trellix will offer its Helix threat detection and response platform and Email Security tool to protect Google Workplace-based emails against phishing, ransomware and attachment-based attacks, the company said Tuesday.
