Boeing's subsidiary, Millennium Space Systems, has concluded the critical design review of a space vehicle that is part of a Space Systems Command program intended to enhance America’s missile warning and defense architecture. The CDR of the Missile Track Custody space vehicle, completed in less than a year, builds upon the preceding CDR of the MTC mission payload, Millennium said Monday.

Northrop Grumman has received a potential $265 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to continue providing engineering and logistics support services for a U.S. Marine Corps multimission radar system designed to detect and track remotely piloted vehicles, cruise missiles and other airborne threats. The modification increases the ceiling value of a previously awarded basic ordering agreement to $514.3 million, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The Health Resources and Services Administration has launched a full and open competition for the procurement of evaluation and evidence-building services to support its bureaus and offices. Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies subsidiary, has opened a new laboratory at its Camden, Arkansas, site to expand its solid rocket motor materials chemical testing capabilities supporting defense programs. The Camden laboratory provides 5,200 square feet of space to enable the company to move pressurized gas cylinders manually, install additional tensile testing stations and add an upgraded ventilation system for better airflow, L3Harris said Monday.

Semiconductor and fiber lasers provider nLIGHT will work as a subcontractor to Kord Technologies on a $34.5 million U.S. Army contract for the Directed Energy Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense prototyping effort. DE M-SHORAD aims to install 50kW-class high energy laser weapon systems on Stryker vehicles, improving their defenses against a variety of threats, including unmanned aircraft systems, nLIGHT said Monday.
