Microsoft and OpenAI are planning to launch an artificial intelligence supercomputer called Stargate by 2028 as part of a potential $100 billion data center project. According to a report by The Information cited by Reuters, the two technology companies will carry out the data center project in five phases with Stargate as the last phase.

Lockheed Martin has secured a $483 million follow-on contract from the U.S. Army to build air-to-ground missile systems for domestic and international military customers. The company said Monday it will provide procurement and production support for the Joint-Air-to-Ground Missiles and HELLFIRE missiles to the U.S. Army, Navy and the governments of the Czech Republic, France and Poland.

Brian Carr, formerly vice president of finance at Edgewater Federal Solutions, has been promoted to chief financial officer at the Frederick, Maryland-based company. With two decades of experience in government contracting, he will now oversee the accounting, finance and pricing departments of the company and spearhead merger and acquisition activities, Edgewater said Monday.

Science Applications International Corp. has received a potential seven-year, $494 million recompete contract to provide safety and mission assurance support services at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston and White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico. The Safety and Mission Assurance Engineering Contract III covers safety, reliability, engineering and quality and software assurance support for NASA programs in deep space, including the Gateway lunar space station, Orion spacecraft and Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility, NASA said Friday.
